OK, so I am coming through the kills the other day on Con Hook Range. I see what I think is at first a fish breaking the surface.

I see it again and it is acting more like a dolphin (slow, arched back movement).

I see it again and it looks like a dolphin dorsal fin.

Now I'm right on top of it. It is dark blue in color and somehow smaller and skinnier than a dolphin.

Seemed to be feeding, whatever it was.

Any guesses?

Not with the dorsal fin. Are harbor porpoises that much smaller and darker than dolphins?

Yea, unless it was a seal trained to imitate a dorsal fin with one of it's flippers stuck up in the air, I don't think it was a seal :D

Yes. One of the smallest marine mammals in the ocean and VERY dark colored.
