since no one else is reportin here's mine....Broke The Ice For 2010

.....hit BB today allday long from 7 am till 5pm weather was great and the fish even coperated a bit

.....slow till bout 1pm nailed a 24in'er and had some bites then a baby @ 17in slowed down again then about 3 dropped a nice fish right in front of me looked to be about 26ish

all fish on bloods and i was using flounder rigs...also saw 2 or 3 other bass caught....ITs HEATin UP BOYS!!!!!!!

Fished RB last night 3-9. Clams, bloods, and sands notta touch. Nice night though for March 9th

Hit the BBays in OCity today. Threw some fins with a teaser strong outgoing not a bump only threw for an hour though.

Ron Algor! With three lovely Blues, a little over two pounds each, that he took with a plug down by Oyster Creek. That is one rumor proven, now we need to see the Bass rumor on the scale! The rumor has it that there are bass being caught. The Toms River vicinity seems to be where they are or maybe thats where the fishermen are? One thing is for certain, you wont catch em sitting on your couch! No word from the beaches yet. Not a lot of participation yet which has a lot to do with it. The ocean water temps are around 43!

first wiegh-in (i heard of)up north by me was yesterday RB on clams 32in bass.. Fred's B&T... also got word some decent fish were caught last night:huh:in RB.....SUX its gonna rain so much figures just when it starts 4in of rain...well sunday is the Asbury show then ill be clam slinging hopefully tuesday night

SKUNK OF THE YEAR!

Fished the incoming tide from dawn till slack. Not a bump, bait didnt even look like the crabs had nibbled on it. Water was clear, clean and cold.

Fished the beach mid-island oc sat late afternoon and Sunday late afternoon, one skate late Sunday. Water temp in waist deep water past the outer bar was 43 sat and 46-47 Sunday.

Picked up my Brigantine beach pass on Friday and fished all damn day. It was awesome! I did forget to actually catch fish but I had a heck of a time trying and caught a nasty sun burn in the process...damn receding hairline!

I am going for strippers off the surf in Ocean City this weekend, any advice on bait and times they are bitting, i am a Novice who just started surf fishing a year ago?:nuts:

Dollar bills are very effective for catching strippers..........

As for stripers, try dunking clam in the evening before sun down. The surf will be at it's warmest which is important in early spring. As it approaches the end of April, cut bunker becomes more effective.

Fished Saturday off the Surf in Ocean City, Nothing, but felt good to finally get back out there

sod bank fishing with bloods was full bore this a.m. even with the miserable weather. approx 3 doz fish divided between 3 of us with a lot of missed bites. mainly shorts but a few 29-32" dinner fish that were released to fight another day.

RB last night 7pm till 12am 2 bass for me @ 22in and 24in on clams 4 for my buddy same general size biggest went 27in not a bad night condering all the rain we had....had a ton of hits that i missed all i can say is SMALL hooks
