Last March we trailered my 21' down from PA last year to Bivalve, NJ, for the first time in search of striper. The conditions were snotty at best and we didn't do anything, but I'd like to extend my season this year with a similar trip. This time however I think I'd like to take a stab at cod. I'm not even sure I know where to start with Bay cod fishing, so if anyone has advice I'm all ears. Those who know me from the Sandy Hook and Offshore forums know I do my share of reporting so your information wouldn't go off into a black hole.

I know that they were caught shallow last year, but the bay has many deeper areas with mussel bottom...if it were me I'd target that type of area....also maybe wrecks be worth a shot. Never know!
