I have a 1984 Mercury, V6 Black Max, 150 HP OB I am rebuilding and selling.
I am currently rebuilding this and have replaced almost everything on this motor. I had planned to use it on my 20' GW but was offered a great deal on a repower with a 225 Opti. Since I already invested alot into this I am finishing it. I have all documentation on all parts and work.
I have just completed the reassembly of the block and am now reassembling all the rest of the parts.
Here is a summary of what has been done and what is new on this motor.
The block was cleaned and bored to .015 over except for the #2 cylinder, this was done to .030 over. The boring and champfer of the cylinder and ports was completed by Almars in DE.
New Parts:
All pistons are brand new OEM.
The number 2 rod.
The center main bearings, needle bearings and rod bearings.
Lower and Upper Oil Seals & O-Rings.
Cranks Rings.
Oil Drive Gear, Drive Shaft, Bearing Assy & motion sensor.
Both Switch Boxes.
Oil Warning Module.
Steering Arm Assy, motor mounts and lower yoke.
Bleed Check Valves & Hoses
Stator & Trigger
Wiring Harness for Coils
Spark Plug Wires
Water Pump
Charging rectifier
All gaskets, O-rings and seals on PH
Cowling Mounts
Temp Sensor
Exhaust Tuner and rubber seals in exhaust tube.
Tilt Lock Levers
Rebuilt:
Fuel Pump
Oil Injector
Trim Pump
All three Carbs with new floats & jets.
As you can see I've invested heavily into this, All I want is to get back what I put into it. Anyone interested is more then welcome to come by to see the unit and inspect it while it is being reassembled.
In addition, I am including the remote control unit, remote oil tank and all gauges.
I expect I should be complete in the next week or two depending on my schedule and the delivery of some more parts.
