How many in a gallon?
I like em to be about 100 count size.....
Bigger than that, you can fillet them.
Smaller, and it takes two to cover the cracker!

Seriously...........how long would they keep in a bait pen?

i hear ya,you can figure unculled 700-800..these are a little lager then other spots that have small ones 800-1000 per G.. used to sell em the bait shops they held them as long as two weeks in thier tanks

i belive maybe longer if the waters r cool. uncle keeps em in the lake pened for almost a mounth about two to three gallon at a time,

i used to get em rigth near you in collingwood. theres a spot

where i show phil there must had been a 1000 gallon well maybe 999

you have to clean out the dead ones all most every day to stop desiceses
