It's a shame we can't figure a way of weighing sharks without killing them. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a big tree hugger or anything, it just seems to be a shame to organize the killing of so many in one area all at once.

I agree I have the same problem fishing striper tournaments I do not want to kill a 40 or 50 pound bass .I would like to be able to keep it alive.bit i do not have a livewell that big.that is why higher weights are required to weigh in fish so everyone does not kill smaller fish

Saw that also, looks more like a looser based tournament/competition. We'll see how it goes. The Oaks Bluff Tourney shows never show enough of the fight and flash back and forth way too much. They don't capture enough of the fight.
