I’m currently fixing up a 14ft aluminum V-Hull and trying to figure out what size motor to get ur for it. I’d only ever have 2 people in it, around ≈400-450lbs. Boat probably weighs around 150lbs bare bones. I’m adding a front casting deck of 3/4 plywood framed with aluminum and a floor that’ll be 1/2 inch plywood and adding one bench seat. So not a ton of added weight. Also would like to have a trolling motor up front along with 2 deep cycle batteries, one for trolling motor one for lights and accessories. Boat dimensions are 13’9” long, and about 48” wide on the bottom. What size motor would be best? And motor brand/styles are helpful. Would like new not used.
