First off, Welcome to the Barn!
Check out my post on the Vineyard. We did very well up there last week! All my fish up to 38 lbs were caught on Bucktails!

I've read all of the Vineyard posts. I do all my fishing from the surf. Live eels plugs ect. Just trying to see what people are doing up there right now.

Dog fish heaven! They hit everything, metal, Bucktails (without bait even), and any kind of bait you throw. Hopefully you get a break, in the inlets or the ponds. The Bass are there, but they must be outnumbered by dogs 10:1

GOOD LUCK!

Great. Just what I was hoping for. All dogs no bass. IO've fished the island several years ago but not in the last 2 years. Always did well wading at the harbor inlet with live eels. Also done well at eel point with artificials.

r.u.dun.yet,
While your up there keep an eye out for the tags below.

Massachusetts Marine Fisheries is studying the temperature preferences
of striped bass. Temperature recording tags will be adhered to bass
from Plum Island Sound in June.

The tags (and data) can be recovered only with your help. If you catch
a striped bass with this tag, please remove it and call Gary Nelson at
978-282-0308 x114. Rewards are available.

An image of the tag can be viewed at
http://www.njfishandwildlife.com/pdf/2005/stbass_tag_mass05.pdf which
requires the Acrobat Reader (free from Adobe at
http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html).
