Fellow Barners,
I am heading out fishing tomorrow, Friday 10/21, with a friend looking for Stripers and Blues. I have an 18 ft CC Was hoping to get offshore, but I noticed the Dreadful NE Wind. Is it true that nothing hits on a NE wind. Looking for input.

Not true... you can catch all the fish you want on a NE wind... in fact, NE is a great wind for guys that work the surf....

But considering the size of your boat and the current irregular/unpredictable weather and wind patterns, I'd suggest a striper trip in the back bay. The wind forcast does not look too bad for Fri, but it looks like a very small window of opportunity, which means a high degree of potential error.

not true! NE can be a good bite BUT from the beach. I have an 18'cc and would NOT want to be out front tomorrow. Stay safe!

I agree with all of the above! Fish a nor'easter from the rocks or the beach until it is unfishable and after. I have many of my best surf days with big bass and i couldn't throw a plug more than 50' in front of me.

Brian, do still have that 8'6" Fisher I sold you a couple of years ago. I just built a great 8' St. Croix, but I still love the old Fishers.
