I hear ya, I cant wait to get back out.

Me and the dog took a walk around greenwich lake today. there was some open water, and the beavers are busy cleaning up the brush around the sides. It was cold but a nice walk to get out of the house.

I tied a snausage to my line and casted it to my greyhound after jigging it for a few seconds I bagged it. I used a spinning reel with an ugly stick and 20lb braid .Reel was a Mitchel 300 and the snausage was a bacon n cheese flavor. It seems they work best for greyhound while fishing for lab/collie mix I find egg flavor work well. Lab/Collie were not biting today I'll try again Monday. Pics to follow:yahooo:

Nice report dave..lol..yes I'm dying to get out..although I just recieved some bad news about my private waters. No longer allowed to fish it, one bad egg spoiled the bunch...and it wasn't me:mad:
That sucks the lake I live on has not been trashed and only 2-3 of us fish it and police it also the little dude on the other side is a nut when it comes to people trashing the public area. He responds in a canoe when he passes my house he'll yell we got another one and flies down to the bridge .

I've been okay. I just hunt to deal with the fishing deprivation.

Hey Joe, took a ride out to Thundergut today, out that way for deer hunting. Not much in the way of water to fish man  I was really disappointed.

What sucks is that the place was closed for most of the summer, I finally got around to fishing it in sept. I fished it about 15-20x and never saw another person out there.

I hear ya my neighbors probably think I am crazy. "there Joe again pretending he's fishing in the back yard"
I have a small landscape pond in my front yard, I flip/pitch to it from my deck all winter long. My neighbors are used to it now..I also set up plastic cups at different distances in the yard and I switch baits a lot to get used to different weights and how they feel. The pond helps me see exactly what the bait does once it's in the water, how fast it falls with different weights.
