Last night after dark i got into a school of fish absolutely tearing the top of the water up.
I assumed they were blues but on hooking up on first cast with a skitter pop , i found that it was a very thin 20- 24 " long nosed voracious fish,, they took no prisoners on my popper and fingers ,, were they needlefish,, caught between 6 and 10 of these as the school moved by me, resembled a gar

one of my favorite plug for night fishing - black habs needlefish.

next time you should try liveling one - never tried liveling a needlefish but i bet the bass would smack em!

The last few Falls I have encountered some
awesome schools of Needlefish hanging around
the lights under bridges...And I have Seen
Some Huge Bass Lurking Underneath....

Well this Year, I am breaking out this baby
and drawing it along the ShadowLine Very Slow.

GOT MY FIRST THREE SPRING BASS ON THAT ONE AT SANDY HOOK THIS YEAR.

Fishcouncelor; I want to hit CISP this friday night. I have a few needlefish to use so I hope they stick around. I have caught a striper on a black/purple Choopy needle the first time I used it. Thanks for the info and good luck the next time your down there.
