I checked out the new ramp at Spicer Creek....Cape May...across from the Lobster House yesterday.All construction equipment is gone.Wind was blowing hard...there were 5 trailers in the lot..easy ramp off at high tide....Haven't seen the ramp at low tide.No floating docks in yet.Nice looking set up and it is free.

I understand floating docks will be installed...I will try to find out when.To my knowledge the ramp is open 24/7.The N.J.Division of Fish and Wildlife,would like to put in a lot more ramps...Money is tight,according to our elected officials...If I hear anything,it will be posted for all you Barners.

From what I could tell during the last blow out low, the ramp ends at the farthest concrete piling.

It's a good ramp regardless of tide, obviously it's going to be a lot easier to use if you have at least 2 people until the get the piers in... Can have 1 in the boat, launch, have the truck driver park it, and walk a hundred yards to the dock at Miss Chris and hop in instead of getting wet...

The angle is nice too... With the length of the ramp, you really won't need 4x4 to pull a 20footer at low tide.

Gonna be really sweet when it's complete.

The floating docks are constructed and should be installed within the next 10 days.Is this good news or what.

Capt Jeff here. Capt Bob Lubberman realizes that the dock is close to the ramp and if anything is very happy it is there. Anyone who would like to utilize the dock at the Miss Chris Marina until the floating docks go in, is welcome to. He only asks that you ask first, rather than last or not at all. He is a business man, but first and foremost Bob is a fisherman, like all of us. And he would never do anything to stop Fishermen from Fishing, especially an entire Fishing Family.
