just saw a report on the MD TOG state record fish.
guy got a 23# TOG, beat sams fish.

congrats to the guy.

Charlie Donahue broke Sam Beauchamp's Maryland state record with a 23 pound tog on Wednesday, January 11th, 2012

Charlie's 23.0 pound bull was weighed on Ake Marine's certified scale & witnessed by MD DNR biologist Steve Doctor. He took an operculum to age the fish & inspected it internally: We're sure it was a male and that it was, ah, 'unleaded.'
And, yes, the fish was caught at an artificial reef site.

Can not imagine what a 20+ lber would feel like or how the heck you manage to get him out of the structure - what a beast.

congrats to the angler!

Capt. Monty does it again putting guys on the meat ! He is a big proponent for artificial reef sites and has the data to prove it works. I'm planning upcoming trip and can't wait to fish with him and his crew.:D
