We had a couple calm days this week to get out the inlet and it seemed like eveything was biting. The water temps have gone back up. Yesterday out on the reef we had Mahi, Cobia, seabass, triggers, and over a dozen red snapper up to 20 pounds. Red snapper is closed because the feds say the population is so low yet they were the most common fish around this week. We also had kingfish and two huge grouper. We lost a big sailfish at the side of the boat. This is all in one day at one stop on the reef 12 miles off.. Im not in any hurry to get back to NJ where its one species fishing most of the year. Water temp was a chilly 72.6 and air has been in the mid 70's.
