Had a non fly charter this morning. Two brothers light tackle plug fishing not really into fishing. Left the dock at 8:00 a.m. Weather held up, cloudy with a couple of light showers. Good amount of bluefish around form 12 inches to maybe 3 lbs. Saw a lot of bunker around the inlet in the 8 to 10 inch size. Tried live lining but the blues were eating them up.

Had a nice surprise around 11:00 a.m. Hooked a nice fish along the rocks that ended up being a tide runner weakie. Long and skinny 32 inches and 8.58 lbs.

Fish hit a Yo Zuri Mag Darter. Was caught on a light rod and was keep by the charter for dinner tonight.

CapeMayRay that's a good sign. Back in the day we always had a strong bite from that jetty in May and early June with big fish, then a lull in late June, followed by shot of good, but skinny, fish again in July, but in different spots and in different ways. 11am on a plug, huh? I wonder...
