went to see fred at no bones b+t on friday to give it a try. figured what the hell got beat up last weekend chunking up the bay and got nothing to show for it.got out with a friend at 7:00 a.m.loaded up with those nasty bellies and off we went to spot #1 where we started catching within a half hour, caught 8 striped ones all shorts until the tide topped off.we then moved to spot #2 set the hook and started the slick. within 40 minutes we had our first keeper at 27", then we had a 31" and a 29" that went back into the drink.15 minutes later the penn 930 baitcaster starts screaming, within ten minutes i land a fat 37.5"beauty that goes in the box. got one more keeper at 27" wind picked up so we went back to spot#1 where we proceeded to catch half a dozen more shorts before calling it a day. total for the day was 3 keepers,16 throwbacks and 1 chester flounder aka. skate. now i am a believer! can't say enough about fred, his maps that put you right on the fish, the inexpensive way to spend a day fishing, catching fish and not getting beat up by the w##d. thanks fred for all your help, useful info. and most of all sharing your knowledge of fishing!
