Congrats to Mark Horn's team who won with a dried up bluefish.

It was that kinda daThe w*** was a ***** but the commraderie was excellent.

I was very happy to finally meet Bucktail Willie. I have admired him since the first post of his I read.

Fred will have 3 more skiffs very soon for a toatl of nine.

We are defintely doing this again in the fall.

Team Biggestjack did not win as I predicted - they where nosed out of first by a few ounces and took second, although Jack still received a donkeys arse trophy from Fred with DFL on it :D

The Highlight of the day for Team Shortbus was when Nick pulled in this pair of horshoe crabs - the male obviously didnt care he wanted to hit it and hit it good even if it had A Gami in it :D

was a good day with great people even if the fish didnt want to eat too much( IMO b/c of new moon) but we got a few but not big enough for the cooler. that wind was bad. im not sure if my face is burned from the sun or the wind!

Team Moneyshot had a blast and alot of laughs throughout the day but the conditions were just too BRUTAL to get anything started. We had about a half dozen hits, 2 fish on and only 1 23" making it to the boat.

Congrats to Mark Horn's team for winning the Striper trophy with a dried up bluefish? :D ;)

Nice being able to put a face to some familiar names on here.

Jack.....that wasn't all you ate, when I was talking to you, you had half a turkey sandwich stuck to your five o'clock shadow. :D

We can't wait until the next tournament, I'm sure Team Moneyshot will be up for it again.
Steve was great to see you.

They say the third time is a charm - so this fall we'll hopefully fill the 9 skiffs and have little wi**.

We may possibly open it up to small boats (23 ft & under). As long as everyone stays in the back and we give the skiffs a 1/2 hour head start it should be pretty fair I think.

no legal stripers are caught

and I think we all won - winning doesnt mean coming in first - that is first place :D
I had a late start and decided to stay late and fish a little more, not sure why. Tried to forgo the shortcut to my spot but was taking on lots of water and getting soaked. Ended up with the one 3lb blue, and a handful of shorts and almost payed for it when I barely made it out of the skinny water. Definitely a nasty day but fun nonetheless.
