EARLYBIRD---TROLLING
I slow troll against the tide with 3/4 or 1 oz round bucktail with a 6" white twister tail and I jig the lure while trolling.
I will troll with the tide by taking boat in and out of gear when needed trying to maintain a troll speed of 1.5-1.8 mph
Going with the tide I switch to a 5/8's bucktail
Sometimes I will troll a ratttletrap as a dead stick but this morning it was all on bucktails

fLUKE FISHING HAS BEEN FAIR
I've tagged 97 ytd and have 32 keepers up to 5.5 lbs.

cold water has slowed the fluke fishing down
I don't spend a lot of time fishing for fluke

I caught my biggest weakie ever 8lbs while trolling a bucktail. Whenever I'm in a no wake zone, or just want to take my time moving around, I drag a bucktail with white worm behind me. I usually pickup weakies and blues.
