Ocean County doesn't have many bass lakes. The water quality is better suited to pickerel.

Head north to Monmouth County and try Manasquan Reservoir if you have a boat. Note they require a life vest at all times and no prop on the gas motor.

Only places I really fish in Ocean Co. are in Lacey and Forked River. Couple smaller ponds that hold decent bass and Bamber Lake holds a hell of alot of pickerel and some bass. Soft jerkbaits, spinner baits, and buzzbaits are great.

:D I agree with Adam. It probably has the least amount of good water for LM in the SJ area. Theres a good pond back at Ocean Acres in Manahawkin.
