I am looking for a good used boat for bay/inlet fishing. I saw an online listing for a '98 Sunbird Neptune 180 w/ a 2-stroke 90hp Evin. I am looking for any input I can get on the boat and motor. This boat is going for $8500 w/ trailer. I'd like suggestions on other possible boats for the price range.Thanks

I bought a used 1996 18' Neptune last summer so I could get to places I can't reach in my 27 footer. I bought it from a guy I know so I'm sure it was well maintained. It has a 115 Evinrude which is more than enough power. It is a great little back bay boat. The ride is smooth and dry for the conditions that you encounter in a back bay. I can fish in less than 2 ft of water. It isn't a high end boat but it is solid and has a built-in bait well and foredeck and under console storage for gear.
