Its always good to contact an authorized dealer for spark plug info on a particular engine brand rather than going by NGK and Champions plug guides. The plug manufactures info is not usually as up to date as the engine manufactures info. Just for instance, if an engine builder sent out a service bulletin to its dealers saying they wanted you to upgrade to a particular spark plug for better performance or longevity, it usually won't get passed on to the plug manufacturer to the next printing of their product guide. Its also important if you have a later model engine that has had some type of upgrade and calls for a different heat range of spark plug then it originally came with.
