Went down to shovel snow off the boat and one of my outriggers snapped off at the base from the ice on all the lines  driving around I must have seen a least 20 or more other boats with busted outriggers here's some pics of mine and some others. I am a Rupp and Lee outrigger distributor, I have alot of parts in stock and over 25 years experience installing outriggers so if we can help you out call my shop 609-624-7913 or cell 609-827-7954

Me Too

A friend informed me late today that my outriggers are toast like many others. In all the years I've been doing this, never even thought about snow/ice damage to the outriggers. Guess I'll get an education when I check them out on Tuesday morning.

I was down to Cape Marine and Breeze-Lee yesterday and as Charlie is saying there is extensive damage to the outriggers on alot of boats, but there are also many that the outriggers looked bent over pretty good but not damaged yet.
If you have riggers on your boat and can get down to it, a couple of wacks with a broom stick to knock the ice off may save you thousands in damage
