Bahamas Fishing Update

The wahoo bite continues to be very strong. Today we had a short morning half day trip, boating 2 wahoo to 30 lbs today. Our fish today were caught on the deep rod, yozuri combo as well as a billy bait bally combo. We fished for just a short time catching the 2 wahoo then finishing the morning loading the boat with some snapper deep dropping. Water temperature remains about 75 degrees in flat calm sees today. During the day we can also load the boat with blackfin tuna but today, we were trying to stay away from and stick to the wahoo. We continue to see one of the best wahoo bites in recent years. The wahoo bite today was a touch shallower than last week and it took a little while to find them . Our best bite today was in 180 to 260 feet of water.

We are currently fishing in the Abacos. This is an easy trip from Lauderdale with daily nonstop flights. Currently we are fishing out of Marsh harbour, Guana Cay as well as Treasure Cay. The Abacos is surrounded by the 3rd largest barrier reef which offers some of the best diving I have experienced in the Bahamas. On a daily basis you can spear grouper (nassau currently out of season) as well as lobster , then go get some conch. Hope this helps

Capt Joe,
I am totally Jealous, great report, looks like a perfect day for Over Under Charters.

Up here, I almost got blown off the road with a major gust of wind, its still blowing pretty hard.

We do have our Bass Barn trip scheduled for Sea Bass on Monday, I hope we get the trip in, for now, that is going to have to do with me. I got cancelled out this year for The Ocean Reef Cup.

Happy holidays, and keep up the pretty work!
