Left the highlands around 1:30 PM for an afternoon run. Struggled with bait at spot 1 so made a quick run over to another bait hole and quickly loaded up. Got to the spot around 3:00 PM. Started off with some big gator blues up to about 16lbs. Made a move and found some beautiful bunker pods with some buddies working them. Started off pretty slow with not many bass being landed around use and a couple quick runoffs. Bite turned on around 6:30 PM and the big bass started chewing. In the next hour and a half we landed upwards of 10 bass and lost many more with 2 going over 40 and all others going over 30. Awesome bites on top with bass blowing up and crashing baits. Had to leave the fish biting to avoid a nasty storm. The grade of fish was unbelievable, the best I have seen in a few years. For a scale of fish, I am 6' 4"- these were big fish. You know it was a good day when your thumb hurts, but you know it was an awesome day when half your palm is torn up

Good luck out there. Best- Ethan

Nice fish man, we had em yesterday morning and afternoon up to 35 lbs all big strong fish. Caught just as many on 5 oz crocs slow retrieve. Awesome day on the water and lucky to get back around the hook before the nasty storm moved across the bay.

Nice job and thanks for the report :)
