I just talked with Capt Jim of the Walsh's out of Lynn, MA.
He said pollack bites are incredible right now.
Many fishermen prefer to catch cod to pollack because cod taste better, but pollack fight harder than cod and they are willing to hit jigs.
It is time to go pollack jigging.

Good info Kil, I'm gonna give him a call , try to get up there!
Jim said they leave at 4:00 am and you should be there by 3:00 am.
You should have non-stop action on jigs all day.
I am leaving for blueifn in NC tomorrow as Capt postponed the trip from today to Monday. Otherwise, I could join the trip.

"Boston Bluefish",pollack are fun to catch but when the bite is on,it is non stop reeling and very easy to catch more than you need, they don't seem to freeze as well as cod and haddock, imo.
