Headed out in to the Raritan yesterday about 9:30am with 3 dozen fresh clams. We were set up and fishing by 10:00am. We proceeded to catch 35-40 fish over the next three hours. Only 5 of the fish were blues and the rest were stripers. We had about 7 or 8 that were over 28?, with the majority being between 25? and 28?. We had a few doubles and even a tagged striper. The tagged striper was 28? and was still bleeding so I believe it was just tagged. I thought fish were tagged higher on the back but this one was tagged below the spine. Since I thought it was just tagged I didn?t want to keep it. I also didn?t have anything to write with so I didn?t get the tag number. I will next time but it will probably never happen again. The weather was great and so was the fishing.

Thanks for the report. Sounds like things are really starting to heat up. I am headed out in 2 weeks for some chunking for big stripers. Hopefully it will keep up. Thanks!
