I read that they dropped 375 reef balls on the Little North and South Reefs in December or they were scheduled to at least.. Does anyone have any info on this or know if they did it already.

Will the locations of the drops be on charts like the wrecks or do they just drop them all over the reef area?

Just found it.. It was in the December issue of NJ angler and it was 325 Reef balls.

Any ideas how they get arranged on reef or if they did drop them

Overtime, I watched them last winter dump concrete and reef balls on the LE reef. They drop a bouy where they want the material. The tug and barge slowly circle the bouy location while they dump concrete or lower reef balls. Its not just pushed over everywhere. Hope that helps. Bob

Exactly. When the numbers eventually show up, they are the location of the buoy, not individual drops. the exception is a single larger wreck in which they log the numbers of the bubbles from the sinking directly above the wreck.
