The Pennsylvania Chapter of the Recreational Fishing Alliance is returning to one of our favorite sites for our September 29th get together, with a full fishbox of information and updates on a very active summer. Gavin's Clowning Around Tavern is the place, and, as you will see, this is a meeting you will not want to miss!

Do you find the entire fisheries management system and process a confusing mass of committee names that leave you not knowing your ASMFC from your elbow? We're going to fix that. Our first speaker is the eminently qualified fisheries tour guide, Dr Gene Kray, who will sort out the entire mess for you so you can understand who does what for which species and region. Gene will also go over the latest bad news for summer flounder and review the Ecosystem approach to fishery management.

Next up will be Captain John Hobson from Perfect Drift Sportfishing. He will be talking about Grass shrimping in Barnegat Bay for weakfish and trolling for stripers with braided line. With the Fall run just around the corner, learning a new twist to putting a limit of stripers on board is always a top priority, and Capt. John is just the man too add new heavy artillery to your arsenal.

There will, of course, be a full update of the current pending political issues and challenges we are facing and working on, with plenty of time for questions, answers, and your input.

Fill up your car or truck with lots of friends (the meeting is free for members and their guests, and membership information and sign-up will be available at the meeting) and steer a direct course to Gavin's Clowning Around Tavern, 1144 Horsham Road. Meeting starts at 7PM sharp, so be sure to show up at 6:30 to settle in and meet new friends!
