I just bought a 93 Grady White Dolphin 25 foot and had one of the motors worked on. I have twin 200's Johnson and after the mechanic worked on it he took it for a test run. He said it is running great...he also said he was maxxing out at 5200 RPM's, and I felt it was low. He also said it was rough out there running and he could probably of gotten higher if he trimmed out more...he also said if I pitched the props a little more I would get higher RPM's. I guess my question is - Do you think I should be getting higher RPM's than 5200....or do you think it might of been choppy out there and the mechanic wasn't blowing smoke up my butt.

It also has a full tank of gas which holds 240 gallons. Any Grady White owners out there that can share what you think.

sounds right to me. My yamahas ran 5500 untill I painted the bottom. Now 5200. I dont know what the range is but if you can hit 5000 on a older 2 stroke I think you are ok. Some of the new engines run 6000.
