Sailfish bite in islemarada!!

I have been seeing reports that it's getting pretty good. I hope so, I'm headed down to fish with the guys from Over Under Charters on Feb. 4th. Hope you & your Dad have a great trip, there's no place better to do nothing but fish & relax than Islamorada.:thumbsup:

i just heard the same thing from my uncle who has a place down there
he says he has been nailing them
im headed down next weekend for about 2 weeks
only bad part is that im not gunna want to come back when i know its gunna be so freakin cold when i step off the plane back in philadelphia

is this buzz kill russ?

I might be jumping on a plane and heading down to Jupiter Beach. My buddy has been nailing Sailfish for the past few weeks:fighting:
I am going from Tues to Friday next week.

I've never killed a BUZZ in my life. I breed them, care for them and they slowly walk away from me in the night. If I'm lucky, they do it while on Poverty Beach with a PBR in my hand, watching my surf rod and seeing the sun come up!

Ok now that I got that out. I think you may mean someone else, but it is nice to meet you. Unless I guided you on a Upland Hunt with my dogs, I may have killed your buzz with me telling you about your horrible shooting, Don't know?

How long you going to be down? Maybe we can meet up at the Zan Grey for a beer. Our place is right on the canal to the big water! We're heading out on the 9th for a yellow tail and black fin tuna charter. But most of the time we'll be fishin with my buddy Capt Tom.

good luck mucho...my buddy was 3-3 on swords last night and he says the sails are jumping in the boat!

I was down in Key West two weeks ago and we saw four the day we were out. Unfortunately we didnt hook up but they are there!!

We were in Miami this past weekend and we got out on Mon and it was slooooow. We had one miss and 1 blackfin. We didn't hear too many guys catching. The water was pretty dirty and there were lots of dead fish floating around. We ran S. to find better water so the keys should be better off than the Miami area.

heard about the fish kill. Also heard of an A--Hole walking in the shallows catching by hand Snook that were too lethargic to get away. What scum bags.

Apparently people were free gaffing struggling grouper. It really effected things greatly.

Funny thing is a ton of the grouper are closed for the season. All they are going to do is ruin their own fishery.

sailfishing north of jupiter= troll

sailfishing south of jupiter= livebait (pref. goggle eyes and kite)

we've caught a few this morning in Islamorada...sounds pretty decent. we'll have all 3 of our boats fishing tomorrow. one is entered in the Cheeca sail tournament...

up off miami was good yesterday too, joe released 7...

condtions are pretty good....come on down!

Glad to hear things are getting back to normal. It got so bad for us we set up to try some reef fishing and that was even a zero. At one point a school of 10 cuda's came cruising by on the surface and we tossed a live bait to them, they wanted nothing to do with it. It seemed like they were up top trying to get warm.
