Got the first white marlin ever on my boat at the Lindenkohl Saturday. Hit a blue and white islander style lure rigged with a small ballyhoo that I recently picked up from Joe at Offshore Custom Tackle. Also worked a pot and managed about 20 small mahi. We then got back up on the troll and had a nice blue marlin hit a green skirted flat headed marlin lure also recently purchased from Joe at OCT, but he broke off after an immediate and blistering 500 yards plus run. As luck would have it, it hit a Penn 15 KG (spooled with 600 yards of braid and a 150 yd mono topshot). No tuna bites. All in all, still a great day, and many thanks to Joe and OCT for hooking me up. I have added a few pictures of the white, which was really lit up boatside.
