Well after a couple years of dealing with backwash, and wet feet, i decided to replace my plastic scupper with the stainless steel ones. looking at the Attwood-665533. NOT CHEAP!! but was wondering what is a good hose to use for the drains?

The white sanitation hose works well too. I have been using it for about 6 yrs with no issues as of yet on my overboard scupper drains. Also added the ping pong ball setups on my drains, stopped all the water from coming back in the cockpit. I did have to have a spacer machined out of plastic to make the ping pong ball housing fit over the scupper thru hull.

The white sanitation hose I'm talking about is the heavy wall stuff, not the flexible thin wall wire wound junk.....

I used 1 1/4" marine grade fuel fill hose(steel reinforced like exhaust hose) on my boat when I redid my scuppers and deck drains. I also used marine grade SS hose clamps and they are dbl clamped at each end. The exhaust hose is also some great stuff. I would not use that flexible plastic stuff in any color on my suppers and deck drains

I would not go cheap on the hose or the clamps. If they break in a rough sea you may end up swimming! All of this suggested by Dunk when I bought my boat and I took his suggestions.
