Shimano Reels, which 400 do I want ?

I'm looking to add a couple more reels to my arsenal. For back bays & inlet. I like Shimano's 400 CT & 400 TE Calcutta's as well as thier 400 Catala. Everything from Flounder to striper. I would appreaciate any tips from any Barners with experience fishing these reels. I've spent the last 45 years fishing mostly fresh water but I'm now doing more & more salt and I need more durable equiptment. Thank you for your input. Royal Trout #1.

I LOVE MY CALCUTTA THE ONLY THING I WISH I DID WAS GET THEN IN LEVERWIND.
LEVERWIND I FEEL IS MUCH SAFER ON YOUR FINGERS WHEN USING SUPPER LINES AND SEEMS TO HELP CUT DONW ON THE NUMBER OF (PERFASONAL OVER RUNS) I GET WITH THE OPEN SPOOL.
I have both Calcuttas and Penns. And I always choose my Penn International 965 over the rest. Great for Bottom Fishing and stripers. Looks good too
HI there RT... all 3 of the reels you mentioned are outstanding. I would give the nod to the good old CT400. The only thing I would recommend a TE for is if you are casting very light jigs, plugs, etc. They will give just a little bit better casting with the very light stuff. Other than that... they aren't worth the extra money in my opinion. The International 965's are an excellent choice as well. The one reel that I would definitely recommend looking at that most people do not think about is the Daiwa Millionaires. Have a great evening and GOD BLESS AMERICA -Jim
Royal- I have a 400TE and love it! I use it for ripping- deep water flounder- and skinny water stripper chunking. I have the levelwine and am happy with the clicker placement- over the regular Calcuttas.
