Anyone think that the tog may still be at some favorite sodbanks that they hang around in october/november. I was thinking of possibly heading to the tuckerton sod banks if the striped bass reports dont look good by friday night. Any opinion neg. or pos. is appreciated. Thank you.

If any tog are back there, they are inactive. Water temps must be under 40 in the back given all the ice I've seen.

Tog fishing in the back really slowed for me in mid-November, just in time for the new bag limits.

My guess is that someone leaked info about opening day to them, and they all headed offshore.

LilFisherman, the tog are moving offshore to wrecks and snags....you'll probably have to go out on a party/charter boat for decent shot at them until next spring.

thanks guys, ill just hit the surf for some striped ones then. I was only going to target them if they were still at the sodbanks. Figured it might of been worth a shot. Thanks agian!
