It won't be long before some of the early season visitors show up along our shores. I'll admit that I'm lazy and do most of my fishing from my boat. So here is a question for all you anglers out there who walk to the fish.

Where do you concentrate your efforts in the beginning. Along the sod banks or on the beach and along the inlets?

In the past almost all of my first Bass of
the New Season have come from the Inlet Bridges.
Then later off the sodbanks.....

35 more days and it will be off to the sod banks for me. From March 1st till the boat goes in the water in Mid April I will be drowning worms in the Mystic Isle area.

Beginning? The bay shallows, outgoing tides close to low (can do the in's right after the slack), downstream of any shallow, dark bottomed outflow. The sun & air temps warm that top layer ;) . Feed em bloods.

yup, I agree with keyskid. Early, in the back is the only option. But as soon as the beaches get going, I head right out front.

A frayed - I"ll be right there w/ you drowning bloods. You wanna get the 1st one or do you want me to do it?
