Nightstrikes-I'm a huge Loomis fan and just saw your response about the Loomis IMX,7 footer rated up to one ounce.I'd really like to check it out.Would you mind posting the model number so I can check out the specs and the price.I basically us e thier Hotshot series for all my light stuff like small bombers and plastic.It's rated for 1/4-5/8,but recently I've decided to toss some bigger stuff and that rod sounds like a perfect fit.Thanks

Check out the surf series 7'10" lite as well. GREAT rod for the banks.

The model # is PR844S, it is actually rated the same as yours,1/4-5/8oz 8-17lb Medium Fast Action.
I stretch it to 1oz without a problem,but with anything heavier it loses its action..
Thats when I go with the St.Croix Tidemaster 8'..

I'm looking into getting a 7' G.Loomis IMX also. I think they cost around $250. A few Father's Day gift certificates will help with my purchase.

Tidemaster 8' medium fast is what I use for plugging the banks and jetties. I match it up with a stradic 4000. Not an IMX, but a good setup.
