Boats hull was in good shape on the bottom, around the waterline there was some rot and split planks

The sheer plank was to be replaced on both sides. The transom was solid and varnished.. This guy turns out some nice work..total old school. This is his own boat so I can't wait to see it finished.
I'm assuming she's bronze/silcone screwed??? How does she look on the inside? Engine?? Those old lapstrake boats are tougher than nails if they haven't been left to rot in rain water.. OHIO is loaded with old Lymans still running around from the 50's and 60's..

I did a wood Chris Craft Dory in N NJ for guy from MD two years ago. He completely restored it.. 327 Chevy. Classic boats I love seeing them restored. Also did a 57 Chris Constellation for guy a few years back.. The guy was a cabinet maker and had access to the right wood and knew how to work it. The whole boat was rotted when I got to it.. He about replaced the whole boat except the keel and some of the oak framing.. She had a pair of 8V-71's in her. 14-15kt cruise.. As he restored it he had me come back to verify his work to increase ins coverage as he put more money into the boat..

Dunk-Here is a Christovich I did for a customer in June..The purpose was to expose the wood (per the instructions of the woodworker) so it could be inspected, refit, and relaunched for a trip down the coast to its new home.
You could see everything on the bottom. There were mahogany planks over 14' in length that were beveled at different angles- After it was stripped the woodworker quit the project and the boat sits exposed today. Leaving a out of town owner with little choices.
