I would like to thank everyone that has
voted and encourage all of our members to
make their thoughts known here...
Because I will be taking this data/results
to the Final Public Meeting down in Avalon
next Monday June 7,2004....

So if you cannot make one of these meetings
and voice you opinion,
maybe this will help with the process of the
Decision Makers....

Thanks Again,,,,

In my uninformed opinion, none of the choices look good. How about a REAL slot, two fish between 18"-32", plus one bonus over 32". The bonus should be a non-renewable annual trophy tag, meaning only one fish over 32" per year per angler, or the slot is meaningless (like right now). Anglers would be allowed to kill the best eating size stripers (while culling out the small, much more numerous ones (simple high school ecology)) while preventing the annual springtime slaugherfest on the Del Bay. How would that work into the equation?

my personal opinion is that the bonus tag is
anything but a bonus. it's obviously been a ploy
all along for us to do their research for free.
research that will certainly be used against us
when needed. now that it's become so popular,
they think they can get away with charging a fee.
#1 i could see right through this all along. if
you think this wasn't their plan all along,
you need to do study the system a little.

#2 you can bet your bonus that if they get away
with this, a general salt water license
will be next.

#3 NEVER voluntarilly offer to pay the government
any of your money. keep as much as you can as
long as you can. they will always spend our
money inefficiently and wastfully.

#4 the bonus tag system should be abolished and
the allotment of fish should be available to
the general public. this business of
micromanaging the resource is ridiculous.

#5 what's next , an artificial reef permit $$

#6 vote in nov. for sportsman friendly canidates.
do your homework.

we pay too much now in taxes, user fees, and the like.
