Stripers are here now and will be here in force over the next few weeks. They will stay and feed into next year.
They run everywhere as long as they have enough water to cover their gills. Ocean, rips, Delaware Bay and the back bays will produce quality fish.
They eat just about everything. Eels, clams, bunker, mullet, ling, seabass, weakfish, flounder, minnows, crabs, shrimp and anything else in the water that fits in that cave of a mouth.
They are big, beautiful and user friendly. In the back bays you can catch them on the surface with plugs and flys until the water gets real cool. Then their attention turns to the bottom where more food is available.
