On the cover of this week's Fisherman magazine:

Says it's an 82lb 9oz striper caught in the manasquan. He was fishing for winter flounder. It goes on to explain that this is the April 1 issue. :D ;) I have to say , they had me going - although the picture looks like a bad photoshop job. I've seen better fakes on The Barn :D .

The only way that's an 82# bass is if that's Andy, aka "Canyon Caster" holding it up. Otherwise it's well over 100 ;)

Once I saw "manasquan" I knew it was a fake! We all know the next "Monster" is gonna come from the Dealware Bay :D

Scott- they got me too.
At first I said it must be an April fools joke, but when I flipped over the cover and they were describing it, I started to fall into the trap. It was only later, when I was rereading it, that I saw the April fools part.

Holmes- I agree- the next Monster comes from the DB with a big old piece of my fresh bunker stuck in its throat. LOL

I agree that it's very possible the next world record might come from DB. However, I think the Rips have a good chance and the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel (CBBT) has an outstanding chance in the Fall. My money is on The Murderkill River at Bowers Beach ;) .

Jack, even nothing has its place in the universe, therefore, I would prefer "Mr. Black Hole" from this point forward.

Even though I have hit rock bottom, I still continue to try to dig while waiting on the blasting permit.

:D :D :D
