Did the striper offically get approved thst Greg Meyerson caught. I read the article in the magazine. On the water, and it was very interesting and informative.

Got approved a couple of months ago. Wasn't a lot of talk about it; not compared to all the talk that led up to it.

Kind of a shame that on the IGFA site they just list the records kind of "blah" like. Put a short story (just a few sentences) about the the angler that caught it, on what, time of day, boat/land, something.

Just a name, date, and weight. Boring. Put a pic of the angler's face at least. :huh:

There was more talk about it before the IGFA announced it was a record which was a shame for the angler, he got ripped up pretty good by some people. After reading his story, this guy is dialed in on large bass, he has numerous catches of 50# and over and has earned the record with the time he puts in.

At least put a photo with the angler and fish next or under the infomation line about the catch.

Had the story that got put in the magazine (or a much shorter version of it) been what went around when everyone was initially clawing for details, I think all the initial negative hype would not have happened.

None of that really matters now though. He got the record. Good for him. It would just be nice if the IGFA put a pic of him with the fish up on the line with the record.
