Welcome to the BassBarn,Com.
Glad To Have You Aboard.....
If the fluke don't get here soon it won't matter when opening day is
I had 22 fluke by this time last year and so far this year ZERO
You have got a point Bucktail, I have not had one on my line yet, April was always good for fluke.
Nightstrikes,
I thought that if the regulations didn't change that it would be the same as last year unless I missed something. I just copied this from the NJDEP website.
"The summer flounder (fluke) recreational season has changed to May 3 through October 13. The recreational minimum size limit will remain at 16½ inches and the possession limit will remain at eight fish"
Please let me know cause I was sort of taking next monday off (lol)

As far As I Know they did approve the New Regs
for Summer Flounder with the only change being
the Season, size and bag limits stay the same...
Season Opens 5/8....
The NJ F&G Website doesn't get updated with the
new regs.until they put it into publication to
the public sometime in May for 2004..
Maybe You Should Call Them to Just Be Sure..
Let Us Know What You Find...

Thx,

Here is the Update from NJDEP:
Changes in Rules for Recreational Harvest of Summer Flounder and Black Sea Bass
According to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection?s Division of Fish and Wildlife, saltwater anglers should note that regulations for the recreational harvest of summer flounder (fluke) and black sea bass have changed. Modifications were made to keep New Jersey in compliance with the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission?s management plans for these two species. The new rules will help protect fish stocks, while at the same time allow the state?s saltwater recreational anglers an opportunity to participate to the fullest extent possible in the summer flounder and back sea bass fisheries.
The summer flounder recreational season, previously May 3 through October 13, is now May 8 through October 11. The recreational minimum size limit is still 16½ inches and the possession limit remains at eight fish.

The black sea bass two-segment recreational season, formerly January 1 through September 1 and September 16 through November 30, has been changed to January 1 through September 7 and September 22 to November 30. The recreational minimum size limit is still 12 inches and the possession limit remains at 25 fish.
