Caught 3 in 1.5 hours last night. Appears the larger residence fish are settling in for the summer now. Left the fish biting because my two little one were ready to return home to PA.

I was unable to weigh this fish, it measured at 43 inches. I am guessing around 35, anybody have any thoughts on weight in relation to length, she does have alot of belly.

NICE FISH!
I would guess that fish was a little over 30lbs.
Checked out a weight chart for a 43-44 inch fish and it shows they can be as low as 25lbs to as high as 36lbs. She looks healthy and is surely on the higher end of the chart.
Hard to believe, we're aleady into July and it's still easier to catch stripers than weakfish.

I did take her on eels. Appears the incoming tide is best due to the water being a bit cooler. All the jetties appear to be holding good size bass right now in Cape May.

Seeker2, I caught one in the fall that was 43inches it weighed 33 pounds. Nice fish.
