Just a quick note that Surfcaster's Journal issue #2 in now live (and free as always) at

all 224 pages of it. From food, to gear review to tribute to legendary surfman, trip story, surfcasting photography and yes, even the interview with a local star, Russ from Big Rock Lures.

We also unveiled STRIPERTHON2010 a free (yes, you heard me right) no entry catch and release contest season long and coast wide . One good picture of your catch can be worth a thousand dollar prize. All you need it to drop your email address on our blog...another free thing...there is a theme here.

Absolutely sick, but you need to put one out every month because I just sit and read the entire damn thing as soon as it hits the net.

Love the C&R contest, great idea and hopefully some people take Vito's poem to heart after they release a few for the contest.

just like our 224 page magazine the catch and release contest,STRIPERTHON 2010 is free too, just got a register with email but after April 1st the rules change, still free but you got to wait few days after you catch that monster

Nope
if you are blog subscriber (which is free btw) you are entered automaticaly.
If you sing up after April 1st you need to wait 7 dyas before you can enter the fish.Or something like that the full rules are on the blog including Prize list and pictures....oh yeah, nice Point Jude giveaway too
