Fished the flats yesterday evening by kayak. Launched from Perryville and hit the skinny water on the north end for a few hrs. Perfect Conditions - Not a bump. plenty of boats nobody else catchimg either. Flats are truly hit and miss for the past few yrs. When you get them in that shallow water they are usually big 25lbs or more but thats a big if past 3yrs

I hear ya. Spent a good part of the day up there and nothing. My buddy - who really knows the area - fished four days this week with nothing.

Opinion seems to be that with the wet cold winters of the past few years the fish are further down near the main stem of the bay.

My brother has been fishing the flats lately with no success, he said the herring aren't there.
