Hey There Fellow Barners,
It's that time of the year to start preparing for the upcoming fishing seasons. What i have to ask you guys is whether there is enough interest in doing the "Take A Soldier fishing" program that we did in the past. I have had quite a bit of interest here on base at McGuire AFB, with multiple people coming up to me and asking if we are running the program this year. So how about it guys?? its up to y'all if we do this... if your interested let it be known on here. if there is enough interest I'll set it up.

and the time frame you want to go fishing-

Are you still taking members to volunteer? if so shoot me a message i can take 3 on any weekend for the summer, and the wife will make there lunches for them.I run out of manasquan for what-ever they want to fish for Fluke,mahi-mahi, etc. I would love to help out!!

My father is a retired c141 pilot who flew out of McGuire. We can take two comfortably or three less than comfortably on our 28 Grady any weekend from June through Sept for trolling fun - hopefully of the tuna variety

This is a great idea, I run a 31 pursuit.
So, how does this work? Do we communicate directly with the soldiers? If they are inexperienced I want to wait for a blue bird day. I can take 2 or 3.

Merf, just wanted to say thanks to you and all the boat Captains out there willing to hook a soldier up with a fishing trip, good on you! I am an Airman stationed at McGuire AFB and I've been on the receiving end of one of these trips and can't begin to tell you how much they mean to us!

I only saw it posted on the offshore section. I have a 25cc and don't have the gear for any big palagic's offshore, but I'd be glad to take 3-4 with me on a day trip to one of the reefs for flounder/sea bass. Any weekend starting 6/26.

Brother, I'd love to fish w/you, or anyone else willing to honor our active servicemembers/vets. What would you think about taking out a couple of the "heroes of Haiti"? I was one of the team leads that helped to sustain the airbridge after the earthquake.Drew,
