Hi my name is Jet Ski Brian. I have been posting my fishing reports on the Chesapeake Bay board and have seen mention of the upcoming Barn Fest. I have never attended and was thinking of coming up there from Virginia with my wife and also going to Atlantic City while there. Could anyone tell me a little more about the event? There is not much on the web site. Thanks!

Hey Bri !

Funny you mention it cuzz i was just gonna post the official Homeport forum who's going to barnfest thread...
This is how we find out who's going and who's not.
Then we can all bust on those who say there not going untill they give in and admit there excuse for not going was lame

Actualy brian, it's a good time with good food (italian) . There's two bars and seating with 10 person tables. It's a great chance to put names to faces and finaly meet people of intrest to you . It's very casual and the whole family can come.
We do raffles and have a 50/50 with the proceeds being donated .
There's door prizes and for the first time ever 1 set of live music

I will say this , if you decide to come and i hope you do ,you'll never have enough time to talk to everyone you wanted too. Every year it never fails that i miss someone that i wanted to meet or talk too. And every year i hear others say the same thing. Thats a good thing because it means you were having fun.

Since you'd be traveling i would suggest a hotel room for an overnight layover. Thats kind of the party after the party:D

If you click on the link below and follow the prompt you'll see the complete menu.

I hope to see ya there.......

Hey Brian!!

I, for one, would like you to know that I have followed your posts and love your pics. Thanks.

Please come to the Barnfest. Check the DryDock with my post on the Wingate Hotel. It's in Vineland, so you might have a little further trip to AC. That is where a lot of us stay. I don't think you would ever regret coming. :D

Like In Depth said, we all walk around with name tags and never have enough time to talk to all that we have come to know on this web site. Everyone is friendly and the food is not all Italian:razz: It is very good.

C'mon now Ma , we all know even if it's not italian it's still italian....LOL
Just didn't want to scare him totally:D Brian, the food is the best, all kinds cause it's a buffet. I will give it up to In Depth on the desserts though, they seem to take on an Italian, delicious flair. I, for one, loved the cheese cake, cookies, canolies, pies, OK, and the salad:razz::thumbsup::D

Its a good event Brian, many bring their wifes and a few bring the kids also. Its a social get together no agendas good food and like the others said yo can put faces to the names. The money from the 50/50 has gone to benefit the reef program. The Bassbarn has donated to a number of reef projects that carry the name.

Brian- I too, would love to meet you and have followed your threads and enjoyed your awesome pictures. You should even tow your rig up here. I have a feeling there are quite a few people who would want to see it.

I own the place where Barnfest is held. We are 45 minutes from AC. Not too bad of a drive. There are several other hotels in the area. I always recommend the Wingate hotel. We'll take good care of you up here, I promise. Make a weekend out of it! Hope to see you there.
