All you fluke hounds out there ought to know that the Bar has been set at 14.2. Naturally most of you won't believe it so swing on by and you can see it for yourself.

After being snubbed a few times this winter by various groups. I decided to go on a personal set all record killin spree. Fluke just so happened to be the first thing in my path.

So Hounds have fun chasing this rabbit, that one was the tip of the ice berg. I got a feelin I'm gonna be breaking a few records this year. Obviously 80 % wasn't enough !

No that wasn't me we were way up the beach.
It's true. The Picker weighed in a big one. Had a whole mackerel in it's stomach. While the weather stays cold the rack will hang up on our cleaning board.
Thats kinda lame isn't it traditional to leave it hang till its beat ?????? Don't worry I understand your just another on the list trying to hold this brother down. Whats next is the question ?????
I stopped down at the No Bones today......BiggestJack pointed out this thing hanging from a wooden post about 20 yards away from the tackle shop....I saw about half of a flounder hanging from a post......The other half was on the deck and a few buzzards were chewing on the tail....Fred brought the one half into the tackle shop and weighed it out for me....1.2lbs. So, Fred brought the other half in for me and weighed that one also....1.8lbs....Total of 3lbs.......Fred said that he has seen bigger taken from his dock.....

Only kiddin Fishpicker.... :D :D :D

That thing was a monster....Congrats.....If anyone has any doubts.....Like he said....it's hangin from the hook down at the No Bones.....

I would also like to thank Fred and Jack today for hookin a Brother Barner up with some quality info.....I'll be seeing you guys in a few weeks....Thanks again....and it was Great to meet you...V

:D :D
Hey Picker. Yes we used to let them hang till they were beat. We changed that rule because BIGGEST is beat and he never leaves.

Hey VOLK. Nice meeting you and stop in any time you want. Always great to have Barners stop by. We can go over the big back bay chart next visit.

Picker, nice one, but I'm not real impressed, rod and reel is how the real fishermen do it

You don't want me to start postin pictures, a reel was used to catch it.
I'd like to see a picture of that baby!!
Yeah, a big one complete with cable I'm sure :D Just save some for us
How thick are they out there? Are your winter quotas coming easily this year?

I guess I have to slide out a couple extra miles this week and see if I can get a couple ;)
I saw that fish yesterday. No doubt it was a large one. However, to kill for the sake of killing so an ego can be stroked is beyond the thinking of this Ancient Mariner. :D :D
Fran The last thing I ever do is kill for ego I make statements. Two birds were killed with that stone.

One: I fed a poor broken down shop keeper. In case ya didn't notice FU is fadden away to nothing.

Two: I wanted to prepare the world for the fish that Biggestjack is about to bring in. My bet it will be somewhere around 17.8 pounds.

On a serious note :

Our flounder quota was caught in less then two weeks. We are allowed to pack 100 pounds, Which we had less then. The few flounder that we had were whacked up and eaten for dinner.

Save some for us. Are you making any progress with the dog fish??????

CaptG, I have all my flounder rigs made up and ready to go. I don't think Fishpicker knows how to post pictures. :D

I only catch small fish in the pond. I would love to lock up with a 14 pounder.

I guess those fish were netted and hand cranked in? Also I would suppose they were bycatch to be legal to keep?
Also they look like fluke. The mouths seem to have teeth not lips like flounder. I guess the wintering grounds were found.

NONE OF THE PICTURES SHOWN WERE FROM FISHPICKER,THEY WERE FROM LAST YEAR BY THE PERSON WHO POSTED THEM. THE WINTERING GROUNDS ARE NOT A SECRET. THERE IS ONE CARCUS HANGING OVER THE CUTTING BOARD.
