Fished Sandy Hook caught alot of blues to 10lbs in a am blitz off the beaches. Went clamming mid day nada. Went behind the hook into the bay and came across a huge blitz of bass. My buddy got one @ 25" but the rest were shorts 20-23.9999 of course. No less then 30 bass caught in the 2 hour blitz lost count. Calcutta 5" bunker swimtails were the ticket. It was a great day. Also had a seagull grab my swimtail and got beak hooked that was fun undoing that. Heading down to the D- bay tues for a change of scenery any tips or info. And I dont have live spot. I've gotten 3 gulls in my line from the beach, but have never seen that

those swim tails catch everything!

It was tricky dehooking a gull but I had a long needlenose plier and worked the hook out, then he flew off.
