having some friends and family out this weekend & am a bit woried about the marine forecast. Would love to run to a reef but it may be a bit too rough...comments/predictions?

I guess Plan B would b to head into the big pond..

Plan C would be to fish in the back but the action seems slower right now (except for the 1 lb bluefish)

Looking for help PLEASE...

Yeah, Something to watch for any small crafts..
Not sure what you are running but it could be a
productive day/days somewhere...

Right now they are calling for NE 10-15 kts/2-4'
Sat.inshore and 15 kts/4-7' offshore, shifting to NW at the same Sunday inshore...

Me, I'm just crossing my fingers that a NE Wind holds up for Saturday. I will be looking for some action in the surf somewhere... ;)

Stay in touch with the marine forecast, then check the Del Bay bouy the night before, and morining of for the wave highs.

If 3' or more, go to the Del Bay. Still fun.
That's my plan.

well...we did make the trip out front. The weather in the morning was near perfect until 10 or so when the long period swell kicked in.

It remained okay and after we caught enough bluefish we headed to the reef to try for some fluke...CM reef was void of keepre fluke but we caught TBs and many, many sea bass.

The wind kicked in around lunch and we headed to the point area...fortunately we were in a following sea and the ride was okay but with the occasional surf ride.

Off the point the water was nice and we caught many croakers, TB fluke and numerous small dog fish...blues were around too and we caught a few more just for fun.

Weather was very nice and the ocean was cooperative....fun, long day on the water.
